Install it and it will become an additional option to enable every time you load up a save, new or existing. Available from the offset, head to the Gameplay section of the Downloadable Content tab on the main menu. But for those impatient amongst you or those that can't commit to multiple long play sessions to get your farm up and running, the Government Subsidy mod will be your best friend. This, to some, will be considered cheating and negating the true experience intended for players. With a contract accepted, you can track your progress in its completion using the same screen, with a progress bar visible in the image below. The better-paying contracts often require more (and often more complex) work, which is to be expected, so take that into account as you pick and choose which contracts best suit you and your current position in the game. The option to borrow the items is helpfully in the bottom left of the UI, so hit that and the machinery will be delivered to the nearest store. If you already own the equipment, no problem! But particularly early on, you'll want to opt for the leasing equipment option, even with the reduced reward as a result. You'll note in the image above that each contract will helpfully display all of the required equipment necessary to complete the job before you accept it. There will be a list of available contracts, each with details as to the location of the job, the money on offer, and the actual requirements to earn the money. You can find these in the 'Contracts' tab of the pause menu. With that, you're ready to sell honey and make a strong profit right out of the gate!Ĭontracts are jobs assigned by AI characters that you can accept at your discretion.
You'll see the two choices in the menu below. Either will suffice, so it's up to you how much you wish to spend. One is available for $37,000 and the other for $55,000 - both still within your starting budget. You'll find the available forklifts in their own designated tab in the 'Vehicles' section of the shop menu. With that setup, the last thing you'll need is a forklift to transport the pallets of honey to a sale point. When placing your bees, you'll want to make sure you position it near as many of your crops as possible, as the bees will help increase your yields thanks to the pollination that they provide! They differ in effort level required, but each is equally legitimate depending on the type of player you are.īees are the easiest animal to get up and running in the game and come with the benefit of requiring no care or maintenance after setting them up on your farm.
